Seeing this tweet from Pat Walls

I get many DMs on X, but I almost don’t respond to any of them. I am not interested in anyone trying to sell me something when I don’t even know them.

This blog post isn’t to denigrate their effort, but to learn what we can do to write better DMs.

Bad DM examples

I don’t do Amazon FBA at all. No research, just an automated message.

I don’t send cold DM and why not just send me a link so I can try it for free?
